Trina Engen
"Michael Colella is a man with heart, compassion, integrity and professionalism. My name is Trina Engen, my husband Jason met Michael through my husband’s former employer. I was talking with Michael and getting to know him. He's so easy to talk to. I knew Michael was a private detective, so I wasn't worried about sharing my story with him. However, I never expected him to want to help me!! Growing up, my father was very abusive to my mom and us. He was an alcoholic and drug user. He was constantly in and out of our lives until my mom was really able to let go. I've run into him at a few funerals; however he was still the same. He went off to North Carolina and remarried. Soon that wife found herself in the same situation as we had been. She filed for a divorce as well. He left and nobody knew where he was. Out of no where, many years later, I receive a call from her.
My father was in Ohio and she tells me I'm the next of kin and they need me to sign for his treatments because he's unable and that she's not married to him anymore. What?! Why should I be responsible for him? The hospital started calling me because the wife had given them my number. Making me feel guilty, he needs me, he's so sick, he's so sorry. I almost went. I almost gave in and signed his papers that would have made me completely responsible for him, his bills and his treatment. Michael asked me to let him help and dig in a bit more before I did anything. I am so grateful I did. Michael was able to find the wife, and find out that she was IN FACT still married to him. It turns out that after he left, she never followed through with getting the divorce. Michael got all the proof I needed and he helped me submit it to the hospital in Ohio and get them off my back. I thank God everyday for Michael and his investigative skills. I can tell he cares about people. Unlike others that care only about the money they can charge."
