"Last April, when I filed for a divorce from my husband, Dave, I was having trouble getting my divorce papers served to him. I had filed 3 different court summons with the Circuit County Clerk’s Office at the Will County Courthouse and 1 alias summons for Dave with no luck of either of them being served by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department and the Will County Sheriff’s Department.
Dave had abandoned our old apartment that we use to share together and he didn’t want to be found and he was playing games with me and trying to dodge the divorce summons being served to him to try to keep me from divorcing him. He was lying to me about his work hours and lying to me about his whereabouts and telling me he was living with his parents in Braidwood when in reality I found out he was living with his co-worker and new fiancé in Wilmington.

I had 2 weeks left to get Dave served his divorce papers or my divorce case was going to be thrown out of court as I am acting as my own attorney in our divorce case. Our divorce case is now on its way to a Divorce Trial on December 12th, 2019 at 1:30 pm because Dave and his lawyer is refusing to split the bills equally between us knowing I’m on disability.
